Apple have announced today a slew of new or updated products and we have included them below for your perusal. If you cannot wait to purchase then the links are provided also.
9.7 inch iPad & iPad Mini 4
Without further ado, replacing the iPad Air 2 comes the 9.7 inch iPad. Priced at a reasonable $329 (entry model only of course). The new model will include a 64-bit A9 CPU and comes in both 32GB and 128GB storage capacities. The Wi-Fi/Cellular models start at $459 (32GB) and $559 (128GB)
The iPad Mini 4 has been upgraded also. You can now buy one for $399 and this includes 128GB storage. The price jumps quite a lot though if you are after the all singing, all dancing cellular model and comes in at a steep $529 price tag.
You can buy the upgraded Mini 4 today though you will have to wait until the 24th March to pre-order your 9.7 inch iPad.
iPhone 7 (RED)
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will now be available in red. And, every purchase, as Apple explains on their site, will help towards the fight against HIV/AIDS:
“contributes to the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS programs and help deliver an AIDS-free generation.”
Taken straight from the horses mouth:
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the best, most advanced iPhones ever, packed with unique innovations that improve all the ways iPhone is used every day. Both phones feature the most popular camera in the world with advanced camera systems that shoot incredible photos and videos day or night, more power and performance with the best battery life ever in an iPhone, immersive stereo speakers and a wide color system from camera to display, all in a water and dust resistant design. iPhone comes with iOS 10, which brings more expressive and animated ways to communicate in Messages, new ways to use Siri with your favorite apps, beautifully redesigned Maps, Photos, Apple Music and News, and the Home app, which lets you simply and securely set up, manage and control your home all in one place.
“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can’t wait to get it into customers’ hands.”
As we are sure you will agree, this is a good cause and worth investing in if you are already an Apple lover.
The iPhone SE received an update this morning as well. Apple have now doubled the storage on both SE models; now available in 64GB and 128GB capacities. Pricing remains the same and both are also available from the 24th.
