Taylor Swift Confirms 1989 Will Be Available On Apple Music

Apple’s annual music festival is on the horizon, and the tech giant is making sure that the event highlights and promotes it’s newly released music streaming service, the Apple Music. To do that, the Cupertino giant has announced, that the entire festival will be broadcast LIVE on its Beats1 radio station.

The festival, which takes place every year between September 19 and September 28 in Roundhouse, London, has also been renamed to the Apple Music Festival — from being known as the iTunes Festival, previously — and will be broadcast live on the Beats 1 station.

The event will take place every evening and will feature music giants such as Pharrell Williams, One Direction, Florence + The Machine, Disclosure among others.

What’s more, Apple said that it will also be broadcasting “backstage news and footage straight from the artists” through Apple Music Connect, a service that allows artists to connect with their fans. Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said

We wanted to do something really special for music fans this year,

Well, Special is the word alright, and if Apple Music manages to pick up more consumers along the way, even better.

The service currently has over 11 million subscribers, some of which may however, opt for other free and/or ad-supported services, once the initial free trial period, which lasts three months expires. Apple is probably hoping to keep them hooked with it’s promise of exclusive and get-it-here first content that included Dr. Dre’s new album, which premiered on Apple Music recently.
