LinkedIn redesigns job postings

Job postings on LinkedIn are getting a makeover.

The business-oriented social networking company said Tuesday that it revamped job postings on its website and is providing users more information about employees with similar roles at the company, the firm’s growth rate and other data.

“With the newly redesigned job postings, LinkedIn provides unique, at-a-glance insights to put the power in the job seeker’s hands,” wrote Vidya Chandra, a senior product manager for LinkedIn, in a blog post.

LinkedIn said the redesigned pages are being rolled out for 10 percent of English language job postings in the United States, Canada, India, United Kingdom and Australia. The Mountain View company plans to expand these new features to other countries in the future.

There are about 400 million people who are on LinkedIn, according to data released in October by the company.
