3

The battle between Microsoft and Samsung is not at all a new one. The two companies both represent some giants of the modern industry, and they keep racing in the quest of delivering the perfect and the most successful product. Two of the products we are going to discuss today are the Microsoft Surface Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Book.

Design and Display

The Surface Pro has many things in common with its predecessor. It basically relies on the same chassis made of magnesium alloy. It also includes a 12.3-inches PixelSense display, which offers a 2736×1824 pixels resolution. As such, the ppi is 273, which is quite good. Moreover, it brings a microSD card slot, USB 3, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and the Surface connector ports. The main change here is the new kickstand, which you can now recline to almost 165 degrees.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Book is available in two versions. One of them offers a 10.6 inches TFT LCD HD screen with an 1920×1280 pixels resolution. The other one offers a 12-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160×1440 pixels.

Sizes

When it comes to weight and size, the Galaxy Books are smaller and lighter, and you can check the dimensions as follows: Surface Pro measures 292 x 201 x 8.5 mm and it weighs 768 grams if you get the m3 version, 770 grams if you get the i5 one and 784 grams for the i7 version. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book 10.6 measures 261 x 179 x 8.9 mm and weighs 644 grams. The Galaxy Book 12 is 291.3 x 199.8 x 7.4 mm big and 754 grams heavy.

Operating System

While the Samsung Galaxy Book 12 runs on the Windows 10 Home operating system, the Surface Pro runs on the Windows 10 Pro.
